Color has such an expresive emotional palette. Choosing colors with the right emotional message can greatly enhance your web design. What emotions are expressed in the colors used in this web design below? The color palette chosen enhances the visual appeal of the chocolate truffles sold by this confectioner. You want to bite into one of the appetizing truffles featured in this site!

Selecting the best colors for this web design was simple. They were present in the photos of the products submitted by the client. We merely "borrowed" them for the rest of the web page. Limiting the color palette to one already existing in the main photograph also added to the compelling simplicity of this web design.
The tan and brown colors work well together, forming a clean, simple, fresh design. This design reveals one of my favorite methods of arriving at a color palette for my web design projects. Often, the most prominent photo or graphic used may contain all the color choices you need for developing the supporting design elements. Simply select one or two colors from the photo, adjust them to your satisfaction and use tastefully. It will often come together as a very unified, clean, and emotion packed design.
