Learn HTML and CSS in 30 Days!

You may not want to be a web designer. However, learning basic html and css is a valuable skill, that, much like a second language, enhances your value to potential employers. Beyond that, it is a skill that can be employed on a personal basis. Creating a personal web site or a blog is made much easier when we have a fundamental understanding of the coding that makes it all work.

This is a great way to learn, and the skills you acquire can be immediately applied to coding a basic web site.

I found an online course that does an excellent job of teaching html and css over a 30 day period. The courses are taught by online video, and the teacher is excellent. By the end of the second lesson (each is about ten minutes or so) you are taught to hand code a basic html page. By day eight, you are starting to learn about CSS stylesheets.

This is a great way to learn, and the skills you acquire can be immediately applied to coding a basic web site. It will not make you a web designer, but it will gove you the fundamental technical need to start on that road if you so desire. I highly recommend this course. It is the best online course for teaching these skills that I've seen to date.
