Content Management Made Simple

WEB DESIGN is always evolving, and new tools that make our job easier are being constantly refined. I have kept my eye on an open source (donation ware) Content Management System (CMS) for the past two years that has matured into an elegant program for content driven web sites. CMS MADE SIMPLE, is exactly that. An elegantly simple platform that can be the foundation for small to medium sized client managed web sites.

I have used CMS MADE SIMPLE for a handful of projects over the past two years, the latest being for this NORTHERN CALIFORNIA BUSINESS SERVICES WEB DESIGN. I was quite pleased with the results. This CMS allows me to quickly convert my CSS or html based web design into templates that are database powered by the php based CMS MADE SIMPLE.

Because this is a dedicated CMS, and not a converted blog platform, it is perfectly suited for the typical 100 page or less web site I build for a number of my clients. The learning curve is not difficult for the typical web designer. The process of converting a web design into a fully functioning CMS driven site is smooth and efficient.

Above all, it is an easy tool for my non-technical clients to master. To me, that is its most attractive benefit. I can quickly teach my clients how to use the CMS, and they grasp it quickly. I cannot say that about most CMS tools. It is here that CMS MADE SIMPLE truly shines. If my clients understand it, they are happier and more productive. I spend much less time in training.
