We designed this web site for a not-for-profit FOUNDATION located in New York City. This client has a refined aesthetic sense developed from its close ties to the Arts. Therefore, our design had to reflect their sophistication and taste.
We used a rich palette of colors to distinguish each category within the web site. Our design of the inner pages incorporate abstract forms at the top of each page that determines the color palette for the balance of the page. Because the cover page (home page) is text heavy, we kept the design simple, using blocks of background color to give order and structure to the design.
The website uses an advanced Content Management System (CMS) that allows the client to easily add new pages to the site that automatically conform to our design. Therefore, editorial content and images can easily be added and updated without requiring any web design skills. This CMS system automatically allows all content to be easily edited by the client. The front page of the web site uses a scrolling news highlights feature that automatically updates itself each time a new article is added to the website.
The end result is a dynamic web design that is easily updated by the client's in-house staff.
