Papago Park at Sunset

This WEB DESIGNER'S PHOTO was captured in one of my favorite places in Phoenix, Arizona. Papago Park is a delightful patch of Sonoran wilderness in the heart or urban Phoenix. Its arresting array of red rock buttes and desert flora is a delightful getaway for an evening hike.

The deep magenta color seen in this photo was due to smoke in the atmosphere due to a fire in the mountains about 20 miles away. As the smoke drifted into the light of the setting sun, it created this beautiful setting. This web designer's photo was captured with a Sigma SD9 DSLR with a kit lens.
